Animal crossing city folk pikmin pot conspiracy!

So,we all know that the pikmin pot is that little piece of furniture that has a pot with 3 pikmin like flowers/seeds sticking out and that when you interact with it it says "pikmin" in a squeaky voice and the petals/seeds all sway about.

But I'm pretty sure not many of you will know that recently while showing off a piece of dlc on the Nintendo channel,a glimpse can be seen of the pikmin pot in the background. This must mean that either Nintendo are not letting us have this item legitimitely or that they themselves have obtained a hacked item.

I myself cannot find this video but I remember seeing it and wikipedia says so.

So,is wikipedia lie or is Nintendo hacking?
